St. Paddy's dinner at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church March 15

The high school youth group, led by Dianna Seeley, will be selling tickets for the benefit for World Youth Day, a corned beef dinner, which will be held Saturday, March 15, in the Little Flower Room, St. Theresa's Church.

Businesses are invited to buy a block of ten tickets for a special price of $10 each. Raffle tickets will also be sold for some really great prizes.

The group, comprised of Catholic and Lutheran youth, plan to travel to Australia in July to join young people from all over the world in a celebration of faith, meeting with the Pope, and learning more about Australian culture.

A lot of money remains to be raised, and it is hoped that this big celebration, being coordinated by several volunteers, will be a big help.

In addition to the dinner, the women of the parish are hosting a Pre-Easter bake sale, and orders are being taken for hot cross buns, apple pies, and other specialties, for pick-up the weekend of March 14-16.  A large variety of baked items will be on sale both Saturday and Sunday at the parish.

Reservations may be made for tables of six or more, for a time slot from 4 to 7 p.m. A special time and price is set for seniors age 65+, with seating at 4 p.m. Advance price tickets are $10.  Price of regular tickets is $12 for adults, children age 6-11, $5.  Tickets will also be available at the door for all times.

A live auction of some really nice items, which can be seen on display in the big window of Fiesta en Jalisco Restaurant, plus a silent auction of gift Baskets, a 50-50 raffle, and live entertainment including Mike Riccomini, Cathy Moore, and others will round out the afternoon and evening.

Everyone in the community is invited to support this cause, and reserve a table for the fine meal of corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings. The dinner will also include a deluxe salad, Irish soda bread and rolls, dessert, and beverage.

Contact persons are Jo Moore, 476-7570, or Dianna Seeley, 476-7684.
