 Saturday morning crash in Lenore

    According to an Idaho State Police (ISP) report Joni Hixson, 34, of Lenore was traveling Eastbound on US12 in Lenore in a 1998 Ford Explorer Saturday, Feb. 13, around 7 a.m. when she fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle going into the east bound shoulder. She overcorrected, traveling into the west bound lane and then back across the east bound lane, striking the embankment on the east bound shoulder.

    Hixson was wearing a seatbelt. According to the report she was injured and taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Lewiston.       

     The investigating officer was ISP Trooper Travis Hight. Assisting officers and agencies were ISP Trooper Snell, ISP Sgt. GrotJohn, Lewiston Fire and Rescue, Nez Perce County, and Lewiston Ambulance.
