CLEARWATER TRIBUNE HOME
FEBRUARY 18, 2010
By Dee Crane
ICARE (Cancer Assistance & Recovery Effort) hosted a ‘Wacky-Tacky’ Tea Party Feb. 13 at Krystal Café. It was a light-hearted wacky costume fundraising event that brought in $1193. A small silent auction was held as well as a corny ring toss. Folks enjoyed the afternoon with tea and chocolates, wine and snacks and of course seeing the outlandish attire was a lot of fun.
We appreciate Kelly at the Krystal Café for generously letting us use the Café and helping us so much. We would like acknowledge Sandy Clay, at Dining on the Edge and Glenwood IGA for supporting the event, and to all who attended and made the day such a fun and successful time.
Upcoming community yard sale
`Saturday, March 20th will be the 2nd annual ICARE Community Yard Sale at the Armory on Hwy 12 in Orofino. Last year, the event raised $1289.96 for ICARE and over 20 families had booth spaces and brought in money for themselves. It is a win/win thing for people in the area. Limited vender spaces will be available on a first come first served basis. Again, this year spaces are 10’ X 15’ and are $25 each or 2 for $45.
Call to reserve your space. Dee Crane 476-5971
Once again, ICARE received a donation of a Pink Camo ATV with helmet and battery charger, from Triple ‘C’ Wheels in Kooskia. It will be raffled and on display at the Yard Sale.
The value of the 110cc Roketa is $950. The drawing will be held at the Spring Round-Up April 10. ATV tickets are $10 each, 3 for $25 or 7 for $50.
