Griffin announces candidacy
Former Idaho County Magistrate Judge, Michael J. Griffin, 61, announced his candidacy today for the office of District Judge for the Second Judicial District, to succeed Judge John Bradbury in Idaho County. Griffin currently serves as a senior Magistrate for Idaho's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd judicial districts following a 25 and ½ year career as Magistrate Judge for Idaho County.
After graduating from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1977, Griffin was commissioned in the U.S. Army where he prosecuted felonies and misdemeanors at Fort Richardson, AK. After his discharge, he served as deputy prosecutor for Idaho County until his appointment as Magistrate Judge in 1982.
Judge Griffin and his wife, Glennda, have been married for 38 years. They have two daughters and three grandchildren.
