Hometown Merchant: Singletree Used Cars
It isn’t just coincidence that John Bostick began his business in July of 2007
selling used cars.
By offering Orofino and the surrounding community an opportunity to find a dependable vehicle in a lower price range, Bostick hoped to fill a niche; a niche that seemed to present itself in the marketing research and homework he did for this area, beforehand.
“Not everyone can afford to buy a new car,” he says, “with (the high price of) gas, the economy, everyone needs a way to get around.”
John Bostick spent most of his time in and around Eugene, Oregon. Along with his father, and brother, Bostick worked in construction installing underground utilities.
Bostick and his wife moved to Orofino almost three years ago from northern Idaho, seeking a milder climate. After a lengthy illness, she passed away this summer.
He enjoys fishing, hunting, and the company of his dog, Zach.
Singletree Used Cars is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located at 11250 Hwy 12 just east of Orofino.
