Show & Shine meeting Feb. 12
It’s that time again! The first regular meeting of the Orofino Show & Shine Planning Committee (OSSPC) is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Supt. of Schools District. #171 meeting room on Michigan Ave. in Orofino.
All members are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone who would like to get in on the planning sessions for the 2008, 5th Annual Orofino Show & Shine is scheduled for Saturday, July 19. (Note: Heavy snow and/or risky weather conditions may require this meeting to be rescheduled. If in doubt, please check with one of the members listed below.
The first order of business for this meeting will include appointment of officers for 2008. The chairperson, treasurer, and meeting secretary positions are all open. The 2007 Show & Shine will be reviewed and necessary committees will be introduced for this season. OSSPC will be celebrating the organization’s 5th anniversary this summer, and we hope to have some exciting things happening.
Anyone with an enthusiasm for ‘show vehicles’ and /or an interest in encouraging Clearwater County graduating seniors to further their education by providing scholarships, is more than welcome to join this informal group.
Since proceeds from the annual Show & Shine id directed to the Scholarship Fund, it’s important that this year’s event is as successful as in previous years. The only requirement is a willingness to donate a few hours of your time to help plan and set up the annual event. It is not necessary that you own a show vehicle. Regular business meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from February until July. New faces and fresh ideas are welcome and wholeheartedly appreciated!
