Lots of activity in town this weekend. It’s Winter Carnival time!
The Timberline Lion’s Club will serve breakfast Saturday, Feb. 9 at the clubhouse starting at 7 a.m. and going until 11 a.m. The Clearwater Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club Fun Run will start from the Lion’s clubhouse with signup starting at 8:30 a.m. Amy Peterson says they could use volunteers to help with signup and stops for both days. On Saturday a snow sculpture contest will be happening on Main Street with judging at 4 p.m. There is room for more entries. Flex your artistic muscles and create a sculpture. There will be prizes:
1st place-$50, 2nd place-$25, 3rd and 4th place-$10. Contact Linda at 464-2663 or Leslie at 464-1023 to sign up.

Comings and goings
Sue Leonard says her son, Bobby Leonard and family of Forest Grove, OR are coming to visit next week. Bobby graduated from Timberline High School in 1985.
Ronda Nelson recently returned from Juneau where she was present at the birth of her grandson Cayman James Nelson Huff. Cayman’s parents are Ryan and Jennifer (Nelson) Huff of Juneau. Jennifer is a 1997 graduate of Timberline High School.
Grandparents are Darvin and Ronda Nelson of Pierce, great grandparents are Ron and Verla Thrall, also of Pierce.
Several people in town have had roofs collapse due to the heavy snow load and ice buildup. Gov. Otter has declared Clearwater County a disaster area.
Lots of super bowl parties went on all over Pierce Sunday.
New Business
There is a new business in Pierce located across the street from Studio 205. Ronda Binder is the Pierce-Weippe supervisor and office manager of Compassionate Care Branch Two – Pierce office. This business offers personal care and attendant care, homemaker services, chore services and transportation.
The phone number is 464-1086 and the office hours are Monday 9 – 5, Tuesday she is intermittently in the office, and Wednesday through Friday 9-5. Gerald and Nancy Hosley from Orofino are the owners and have been in business seven years. They are accepting clients and hiring for part time workers.
City crew doing great job
Marty, Eric and Jim of the City of Pierce Maintenance crew have been doing a good job keeping the streets clean.
