Frensdorf named to Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team
Leaders of the
National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA), the oldest youth rodeo
organization in America, appointed Matea Frensdorf of Moses Lake, WA to the
Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team, the first-ever corporate-sponsored
youth rodeo team.
Frensdorf is the daughter of former Orofino resident Mike Frensdorf and wife Sonja. Her grandparents are Vi and Bill Lesmeister of Orofino and Charlie and the late Irene Hlucny of Wenatchee, WA.
The Wranger High School All Star Rodeo Team is fashioned after Wrangler’s Champion Pro Rodeo Team, which includes superstars like Trevor Brazile, Joe Beaver, Dan Mortensen, Dustin Elliot, Kelly Kaminski, Will Lowe and Hall of Famer, the late Jim Shoulders. Frensdorf earned her position on the team based on leadership qualities, academic eligibility and athletic achievements.
Karl Stressman, special events manager for Wrangler Rodeo, lauded Frensdorf’s accomplishment. “We’re confident each member of the team will be an outstanding goodwill ambassador the sport of rodeo.
