Fish and Game changes bird hunting season, limits

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission moved back the opening date for chukar and gray partridge hunting seasons and also reduced the bag limit on both bird species.

In a unanimous vote, the commission moved the opening day of chukar and gray partridge seasons from Sept. 15 to Oct. 1. The bag limits on both species were reduced from eight per day to six per day. Both rule changes were voted on Thursday and take effect in the fall of 2010.
