well after heart attack, knee replacement
Recently Bev Latham of Latham’s Mobile Butchering had a heart attack
and was airlifted to Spokane, WA while Kyle had another knee
replaced.

Three
rescued after boat hits rock in Clearwater River
Sgt. Jay Colvin of the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office reported
three people were fortunate to escape injury when their boat struck
a rock on the Clearwater River, downstream of the Clearwater/Nez
Perce county line Saturday, Jan. 30, at approximately 12:30 p.m.

30-year reunion plans underway
The Orofino High School class of 1980 has scheduled a 30 year class
reunion for June 25-26.

Forest
service merger proposal moving forward
Leadership teams from both Clearwater and Nez Perce national forests
have agreed to prepare a package proposing the two forests be
combined into one administrative unit.

actor, dancer to perform Feb. 11 in Orofino
Kevin Spirtas, accomplished actor, singer, dancer, will entertain
Clearwater Community Concert members at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11
at Orofino High School.

All Cities Mall, Inc., owner of the Mall of Infinity and All Cities
Mall’s Technologies Development Division, is now based in Orofino.

boy raises $459.36 for Haiti victims
Six year old, Isaac Stevenson, of Orofino, had a successful bake
sale Saturday. When he saw children (on television) suffering in
Haiti, he wanted to do something for them.

The Orofino High School senior class of 2010 and senior parents will
be having two Maniac Haystack Feed fundraisers to help raise funds
for the senior graduation party.

The Orofino O Stars Cheerleaders competed at the 2010 North Idaho
Cheer Competition Jan. 23 in Post Falls.

The art students of Orofino Junior High School are exhibiting their
“Robots” at Clearwater Memorial Public Library.

Fish and
Game changes bird hunting season, limits
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission moved back the opening date for
chukar and gray partridge hunting seasons and also reduced the bag
limit on both bird species.

Planning Workgroup looking for volunteers
The workgroup will evaluate and recommend building plans to include
additional classrooms as needed at Orofino High School and at
Timberline Schools, new multi-purpose rooms/practice gymnasiums at
OHS and TS, a kitchen remodel at Orofino Elementary School (OES) and
a bus loading/unloading safety zone at OES.
