Maniacs win 71 to 60 over Grangeville

   D.J. Wright and Joey Wityczak led the Maniacs to a fast start and win over the Grangeville Bulldogs in the  Central Idaho League game at Grangeville Jan. 24.

   Wright tallied 17 points and seven assists and Wityczak made 15 points.

   The Orofino Maniacs shot 67 percent from the field and outscored the Bulldogs 21-10 in the first quarter. Orofino’s Zac Goodrich notched four steals.

   Grangeville’s Austin Wassmuth canned four 3-pointers on his way to a game high 22 points.

Maniacs stifle Kamiah in league win

   Orofino stifled Kamiah, earning a comfortable 54-31 CIL win Jan. 22.

   The Maniacs held the Kubs to 32-percent shooting, while shooting 56-percent themselves.

   Orofino, which had a season low nine turnovers, was paced by Joey Wityczak's 19 points. Zac Goodrich chipped in 10 points to go with three steals.

   Darian Ball led the Kubs with 12 points, including a trio of 3-pointers.
