John Michael Wininger, 71, Orofino

   John Michael Wininger of Orofino died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino. He was 71.

   Cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time.

   Pine Hills Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Evie Litchfield, 83, Grangeville

   Evie Litchfield, Grangeville, entered into Heaven Jan. 22, 2008. She was 83.

   She was born Mildred Evelyn Cox on April 26, 1924 to William H. and Ruth Cox in Silverton, OR. She married Bob Litchfield in Grangeville on Dec. 22, 1946. They were blessed with four children, Pat of Council, Lynda of Kamiah, Terry of Post Falls, and Doug of Portland, OR; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

   Evie was a devoted wife and mother. She pursued a career in nursing, was active with Grangeville Christian Church, involved with the VFW Auxiliary, Elk City EMTs, Elk City Wagon Road, U.S. Mail Contractor’s Association and vacationing on the Oregon Coast.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, her brother Smythe R. Cox and grandson Brett Johnston.

   Memorial services will take place Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Grangeville Christian Church located at 402 West South 1^st, Grangeville.

   Trenary Funeral Home, Kooskia, assisted the family.
