Trib’s Place B&B closes for business

Bob and Kenda Tribble, owners of Orofino’s premiere bed and breakfast, Trib's Place B&B, announce their retirement from the bed and breakfast business. They converted their lovely log home into a B&B in 1997. Both have been actively taking care of customers for over 12 years. Bob was the mastermind behind the business combining his love for entertaining and travel into a successful B&B after he retired from the Forest Service in 1994.

He designed and implemented the reconstruction of the house and buildings and landscaping of the grounds pretty much single handedly. He was the grounds keeper and maintenance guy who kept everything looking beautiful. He also did the majority of the cooking while Kenda continued to work for the Forest Service until retiring in 2007.

The couple has hosted guests from all over the United States and Europe. They have enjoyed meeting many people and sharing their knowledge of the Clearwater area and recommending places to see and do while visiting in Orofino and surrounding areas.

They said “we have had great fun meeting folks from all over. Some of them have become good friends whom we stay in touch with and visit when we have time to travel. The whole Bed and Breakfast experience has been wonderful and it is with mixed emotions that we made the decision to close.”

The Tribbles intend to remain living in their home here in Orofino and welcome friends to stop by for a cup of coffee from time to time. They want to thank all of those in the community who have supported their business over the past years.
