School board meets Jan. 28; new hires announced
New hires to be announced at the Jan. 28 meeting of the School District #171 board are:
Karen Ilagen, preschool aide; Duane Tribe, technology aide; Lee Phillips, Orofino Elementary custodian; Shannon Erbst, Orofino High school volleyball coach; Keela Sykes, Orofino Junior High assistant volleyball coach and Polly Henderson, bus driver.
Reports and recognitions include PLATA training award, Sylvia Stevens, $1,500; EETT Grant, Sylvia Stevens, $75,000.
Cavendish school experienced three cancellations in the past two weeks due to no heat, snow and drifting snow.
The school board meeting will be held at the Peck school starting at 7 p. m. Jan. 28.
