Board signs memorandum of agreement to support mental health program

   The Board signed the Memorandum of Agreement to support the Community Incentive Program, the Re-Entry Program and the Mental Health Program between the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections and Clearwater County, to administer the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant funds to support these programs.   

   The Board approved and signed liquor license renewals for the Fiesta En Jalisco, Elk River Lodge & General Store, China Palace, Vets Club, The Lucky Inn and Tom’s Tavern.

   December 2007 expense claims were approved and ordered to be paid in the following amounts: Current Expense-$34,104.76; Road & Bridge-$62,991.40; Ambulance-$11,837.65; District Court-$2,985.82; Justice Fund-$70,835.73; Drug Investigation-$4000.00; Court Facility-$570.00; Junior College Tuition-$2854.36; Parks and Recreation-$108.85; Revaluation-$1,961.28; Enhanced 911-$24.61; Solid Waste-$43,325.36; Current Expense Tort-$4,823.18; Weeds-$629.96; Waterways-$944.57; Dent Bridge Trust-$3.38; Insurance & Grants-$24,642.43; Hospital Loan Trust Account-$6,712.58; Total expenses for December were $273,355.92. 

   Sheriff Alan Hengen, Chief Deputy Chris Goetz, Deputy Rick Miller and Waterway’s Deputy Mike Gladhart, along with Waterways Board members Ted Leach and Bert Snyder met with Board to review the application for Waterway’s Improvement Grant for the purpose of replacing a 2001 Marine Patrol/tow vehicle. These grant funds are being applied for through Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR).

   Deputy Miller presented a grant application for IDPR Grant from the Waterways Improvement funds for replacing the dive compressor and equipment. 

    Also, Miller presented an application for Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation Grant from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Fund (ORMV) to promote safety and education to Off Road Motor Vehicle Users.

   The Board approved signing the grant applications and letters of intent.

   Don Gardner, Emergency Manager, presented a Resolution for the Joint Powers Agreement between Nez Perce County, Latah County, Lewis County and Idaho County for maintaining determining the expenditure of the 2005 Citizen Corp grant.  This resolution was approved and signed by the Board.

   Chris Kuykendall, Clearwater County Economic Development, presented the Construction Contract for the Turn Lane along US 12 at Hazen Lane.   The Board approved the motion to sign the Construction Contract with Riverview Construction

   There were two executive sessions held to discuss personnel and indigent matters.

    Present for the meeting were Chairman Don Ebert, Commissioner Stan Leach and Commissioner John Allen.
