Cooper Thomas, John Allen and First Lady of Idaho Lori Otter.
Clearwater County residents are Governorís Brightest Stars
Cooper Thomas and Clearwater County Commissioner John Allen were honored at the 2009 Governor's Brightest Star Awards Ceremony at Boise State University in November.
Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter and Mrs. Lori Otter recognized individuals, businesses, organizations and students across the state for their volunteerism and service within the state of Idaho.
Cooper and her life-long friend John Allen have been dedicated to keeping a section of Highway 12 clean of garbage and refuse. The two are working with the Department of Transportation on their Adopt-A-Highway Clean up Project.
Although this is the project that Cooper and John are being recognized for at the state level, Clearwater County reaps the benefits of other projects and unseen needs being met by Cooper, John and their families.
